Are you searching on Google and getting overwhelmed with the amount of information you are getting back?  How do you know what you are finding is the right type and quality for your assignment?  

Discover, the library search tool, is the simple way to search for relevant books, e-books, journal articles, databases and more.  

This session will show you how to access a range of resources and make the best use of the features of Discover, including advanced search, saving searches and items and creating search alerts.

So, if you are not sure how or where to start, or if you want to learn how to get better search results then this is the session for you.  

There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout the session.

LJMU's Curriculum Enhancement Internship scheme is designed to support student engagement in curriculum development/enhancement. Funding is available from the Teaching and Learning Academy for these staff/student partnership projects to run this year with a specific focus on intellectually stimulating and engaging teaching. The call for applications is now live and the deadline for submission is Noon, Thursday 6th November 2025. This briefing session will provide details on the process for applications and outline expectations for how projects might address the theme.
