This class will cover:

• how to read with critical analysis and why it is needed at PG level
• how to use critical reading to make effective notes for assignments

Quantitative research consists of various stages, from the initial idea to data collection to analysis.

This session looks at the various stages of designing and analysing a quantitative study, with the goal to plan your data collection and analysis together rather than as separate tasks. By the end of this session you should understand how to choose the data you need to collect and how to make a data analysis plan.

Drop by and ask our Maths & Stats tutors for advice on topics in mathematics, statistics, or data analysis — quantitative or qualitative — including use of software, e.g. Excel, R, SPSS, NVivo, Matlab, Python,... Just remember to bring your maths, statistics, or data analysis query with you, as well as any relevant course materials or data.
